Letter to my community

Hi neighbors, 

I am writing this letter to you to explain my vision for shopthequad.com. 

Here in the quad cities area, there is a stronger sense of community than in the big cities around us. With hundreds of determined entrepreneurs in our own backyards, we have the skills and resources to accomplish anything together.

Through my own experiences doing side jobs, I have seen the frustration from members of our community waiting weeks or months for a service, an appointment, or even a return phone call, when the neighbor down the road was readily available to offer their services. I thought to myself, what can I do to help? I decided to create the Quad Communities AZ LLC and shopthequad.com, a platform where we, as a community, can come together with our skills and resources to get any job done, big or small, fairly and together. 

My dream for shopthequad.com is that it will be the one-stop shop for the people in our communities. A place where you can hire a local carpentry crew to build your dream home, hire a teenager on summer break to mow your lawn, or rent out that kayak leaning on the side of your house collecting dust. This platform allows our entrepreneurs to share their skills and passions with our community, avoiding the sun and long hours selling their homemade goods on the street corner and gaining time to spend weekends with their families. Through shopthequad.com, you can choose the neighbor that best fits your needs. We can shop through our neighbor’s skills or find small businesses yearning to be discovered, without the cost of a nationally known brand. The best part of shopthequad.com? We have created a platform that strengthens our communities and empowers one another.  

Being able to have my own shopthequad.com like experiences, from shoveling the snow on my neighbors’ driveways to getting water delivered during the weekend, I have seen the gratitude first hand from the kind lady who fed me after hours of shoveling, to my relief of having running water in my home last minute on a Sunday. These are the types of relationships that we are blessed to have in a small town, and I am grateful to have connected with my neighbors who want to lend a hand. We have the opportunity to build a community full of these helping hands, and shopthequad.com is the place to start. Join our community; let’s get the job done.
